A Merry TUBACHRISTMAS School Registration
Welcome to Shreveport's first A MERRY TUBACHRISTMAS debuting this December 16! The HOLIDAY EVENT is open to everyone who plays (or even used to play) a Tuba, Sousaphone, Baritone or Euphonium. This is a community gathering of “low brass” and “High Holiday Spirits!” You’ve been singing the Holiday songs for years, now you are going to play them…along with 100 other Tuba lovers! Here’s the Schedule for Saturday, December 16: The MERRY TUBACHRISTMAS concert is Saturday, December 16, starting with sign in at 9:15 and through 1:00 pm when the concert concludes.
Please read this carefully - there are some important rain plan changes! Here’s the key information and schedule for the event:
Rehearsal:
Where: Shreveport Municipal Auditorium, 2nd Floor. Park and enter on the Milam St. side (across from Oakland Cemetery.)
Schedule:
9:15 AM - 10:00 AM: Arrival, Sign In, and music pick up (if needed). Coffee and donuts will be provided.
10:00 AM - 11:15 AM: Rehearsal with conductor Dr. David Hobson
11:15 AM - 11:45 AM: Break and Raising Cane’s Chicken Finger Snack!
11:15 AM - 11:45 AM: Performance by The Holiday Horns.
11:45 AM: Move to the Municipal Auditorium STEPS on Grand Ave./Elvis Presley Blvd. for the big performance!
12:00 Noon - 1:00 PM: MERRY TUBACHRISTMAS Concert with fun moments in between songs.
If you have a lyre (music holder/clip) please bring it!!
Let your friends and family know that due to an anticipated soggy, muddy park we have moved the performance to the steps of the Municipal Auditorium on Grand Ave./Elvis Presley Blvd.
