Equipping the nonprofit arts organizations in Northwest Louisiana to better manage their organization through direct Technical Assistance and extensive Training, SRAC employs a full time Community Development Director to assist Artists and Arts Organizations. Additionally, SRAC partners with the State of Louisiana Division of the Arts, LANO (Louisiana Association of Nonprofit Organizations) and the Americans for the Arts to provide outstanding capacity building workshops, national resources, and one-on-one assistance to artists and arts organizations.

1. LOUISIANA DIVISION OF THE ARTS - DECENTRALIZED ARTS FUNDING PROGRAM
Decentralized Arts Funding (DAF) Program
The Louisiana Decentralized Arts Funding Program provides a system for funding arts and cultural projects in every parish of the state. Funds are provided to each parish on a per capita basis utilizing the most recent census figures. As applicants compete only with other organizations in their parish, decisions about cultural priorities are made locally.
Applications must be submitted to the Shreveport Regional Arts Council by THURSDAY, JUNE 1, 2017, 4:00 PM. This is NOT A POSTMARK Deadline. This is a hard deadline and any applications received after THURSDAY, JUNE 1, 2017, 4:00 PM, WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

City of Shreveport Artist Fellowships: Artist Fellowships are cash awards in recognition of artistic excellence that enable artists to pursue their artistic goals. These awards acknowledge distinguished Fellows of the highest caliber in each discipline of the arts.
