ABOUT SHREVEPORT’s PROPOSED MUSIC SERIES:
Shreveport Regional Arts Council has applied for $120,000 in grants to help fund 30 Live Music Shows at Caddo Common Park over the next three years. We propose to host 10 events per year spanning diverse genres such as Rockabilly, Hispanic, Pop, Hip Hop, Rhythm & Blues, Gospel, Classical, Country & Western, Zydeco, Reggae, and more!

Moye Zhang’s show, “Life Gives, I Return With Sparrows”
Join us to celebrate Moye Zhang's new collection, a series of artworks inspired by her time observing sparrows. Using delicate line work and traditional Chinese painting techniques, Moye creates tiny, detailed pieces that capture fleeting fragments of their lives. This body of work conveys a universal truth: that we, too, respond to life’s subtleties with our own distinct song.

The Art of Haiti: DR. JEAN C. BRIERRE'S LIFETIME COLLECTION
This Exhibition features Dr. Jean C. Brierre’s Haitian art collection, assembled over 60+ years. A physician, immigrant and visionary, Dr. Brierre used art to connect his homeland with his new home in Shreveport, Louisiana. Each piece reflects Haiti’s vibrant spirit and serves as an act of cultural preservation.

Sarah Adams - Study of the Scream Queen
Behind every great horror classic, there's a woman. But what's her story beyond the scream? Visual artist Sarah Adams' Study of the Scream Queen dissects the iconic, often controversial, roles of women in horror. Through striking paintings, illustrations, and sculpture, she celebrates their power and questions a genre's complex relationship with its leading ladies.

Wicked Sing Along in the Park
Another family-friendly free event is on the way in the Shreveport Regional Arts Council Engine Room! We have chairs set up and will have food trucks outside ready for, The Wicked Sing Along.
The Engine Room opens at 7pm for seating and the movie starts at 8pm.
Food trucks Snow Stoppers and Roadrunner Foods will be providing the food and drinks while cocktails and mocktails are provided by Fatty Arbuckle's. We can't wait to see you there!

Remembering Neil Johnson’s Portrait 2000 Exhibit
Join us for a journey through time:
To commemorate the turn of the millennium, beloved photographer and friend Neil Johnson embarked on an ambitious project to capture 2000 portraits of Shreveport/Bossier’s community members. Now, 25 years later, artspace will honor Neil’s vision by showcasing the entire collection, his documentation of our people. This powerful exhibit celebrates the passage of time, thr evolution of identity, and the enduring connections within the community. Through these portraits, visitors can reflect on personal and collective growth, as well as our shared experiences over the last 25 years.
Neil created this project to commemorate the new century by showcasing the individual and collective beauty of our humanity and our cities.
