Four Free Concerts to be held at Caddo Common Park in Downtown Shreveport this September and October
Caddo Common Park is kicking off fall with four free concerts open to the public! Two of these concerts are a part of the Levitt AMP Shreveport Music Series, which began in May.
The concert line-up:
Friday, September 25: Concert featuring Joanie Nerrettig and Native to the Parish, 6-8 p.m. Talented singer/guitarist/ songwriter Joanie Nerrettig will be sharing her story through her folk, rock, and multi-genre music. Native To The Parish is a high-energy rock-and-roll trio infused with deep Southern rock roots and alternative grunge revival.
Saturday, September 26: Levitt AMP Shreveport Music Series concert featuring Ever More Nest, 5-7 p.m. Acclaimed New Orleans-based band Ever More Nest is bringing their unique alt-country & rock ‘n’ roll music to Caddo Common Park! Caddo Parish Poet Laureate, Crystalyn Whitaker, is a spoken word artist who will open the evening with a recitation of her poetry.
Friday, October 2: Concert featuring Sweet Nay, 6-8p.m. Sweet Nay is a Shreveport native and professional singer, songwriter, and entertainer who is passionate about sharing her gift and love for music.
Saturday, October 3: Levitt AMP Shreveport Music Series concert featuring Ally Venable, 5-7p.m. Ally Venable is a Texas blues-rock singer/songwriter and guitarist extraordinaire with numerous accolades.
The public is invited to bring their own picnic/snacks, blankets, and lawn chairs to the concerts, which will have an open lawn setting. There will also be food vendors, an arts market and hands-on activities for kids including make-take art, and sprinkler fun!
