Equipping the nonprofit arts organizations in Northwest Louisiana to better manage their organization through direct Technical Assistance and extensive Training, SRAC employs a full time Community Development Director to assist Artists and Arts Organizations.  Additionally, SRAC partners with the State of Louisiana Division of the Arts, LANO (Louisiana Association of Nonprofit Organizations) and the Americans for the Arts to provide outstanding capacity building workshops, national resources, and one-on-one assistance to artists and arts organizations.

ANNUAL GRANT OPPORTUNITIES:

1. LOUISIANA DIVISION OF THE ARTS - DECENTRALIZED ARTS FUNDING PROGRAM
Decentralized Arts Funding (DAF) Program

The Louisiana Decentralized Arts Funding Program provides a system for funding arts and cultural projects in every parish of the state.  Funds are provided to each parish on a per capita basis utilizing the most recent census figures.  As applicants compete only with other organizations in their parish, decisions about cultural priorities are made locally.

THE STATE DAF GRANT APPLICATIONS FOR FY19 WILL BE SUBMITTED ONLINE. KEY DATES: 

  • May 1:  DAF Applications live for applicants to complete
  • May 1 – May 31: Grant workshops held throughout region
  • July 13: FY19 DAF application deadline
  • Aug 20 – Sept 10: Grant Panel reviews applications
  • Oct 1 :  DAF Grant Period begins

SRAC supports established Arts organizations, nurtures emerging Arts organizations, and assists individual artists by providing Grant opportunities for those domiciled in the City of Shreveport.
