Mission

SRAC serves the citizens of metropolitan Shreveport and residents of Northwest Louisiana, Region 7, which encompasses the Parishes of Bossier, Bienville, Caddo, Claiborne, DeSoto, Lincoln, Natchitoches, Red River, Sabine and Webster.

SRAC's Mission is to:

• Increase understanding of the value of the arts
• Strengthen the K-12 arts in education
• Identify and unify the arts constituencies of the city and region
• Provide leadership in advocacy efforts to strengthen funding for all of the arts in the Region and State of Louisiana
• Produce special events that promote the arts and area artists
• Produce, present, and promote artistic offerings that meet the diverse needs of the community
• SRAC is committed to providing arts opportunities for individuals who cannot access the arts through traditional methods.
• The Shreveport Regional Arts Council does not attempt to judge the relative merits of different arts organizations or individuals engaged in the Arts.
• SRAC's Board of Directors and Staff are focused on making Northwest Louisiana a better place for families, citizens, and visitors through the arts.
